facebook cover collage | madeline

facebook cover
It had been a while since we last created and posted a Facebook Cover photo collage, so here's a new one. Statigram can create one automatically very quickly, but Photoshop, which is what we used for this one, works just fine, too.

more madeline? yes. | old st. charles

high school senior

high school senior in St. Charles
Madeline's photos were shot in Old St. Charles on and around Historic Main Street on a cool fall morning. And while we don't typically recommend a white shirt for a photo session, some people just make it work. Yes, Madeline is definitely one of those people.

high school senior photo
This isn't a watch or hair care advertisement. It's Madeline: leader, musician, daughter, friend, and Class of '13 student.

one moore facebook cover

Facebook cover photo
These 13 images of the Moore fam (well, all but two of them) were made in Old St. Charles, one of our favorite places to shoot. What's your favorite go-to spot?

cross-processing fun

Just having a little cross-processing fun in Lightroom, we call this blending mix "Collegiate" (although I'm really not sure why we named it that when we did!). Here are a few of the custom color settings that make up this look: Temperature: 4738; Tint: +64; Saturation: -36; Highlights: 59/90; and Shadows: 326/24. Becca started creating this image at 50mm, f/4.

beautiful, belated, bernardy

Life can be funny. Sometimes, the faster you try to move, the slower you end up moving. We've been trying to sit down, edit and post a number of images for a few weeks, but something always gets in the way. Let's see if we can change that this week!

the full shot, as promised

... Here's that shot of Brianna -- the full-length, almost SOOC (minor color correction in Lightroom).

bricks and blocks and brianna

About the photo: Shot at 1/40 sec., f/2.0, ISO 400 at 85mm with a Canon 5DII. Texture and tone added in Photoshop CS5. Loved the original, which we'll post next...

Check out some experimental time-lapse photography from Adam & Victoria's big day, along with a few bonus images at the end ...

Two kids. Too cute.

"Ummmm. I'm telling Mom."

It's not a painting. It's Klondike Park.

Without a doubt, Klondike Park offers one of the prettiest fall scenes in town. And if it's this pretty and the ground is this white in October, we're wondering what it looks like in December...

Guess we'll have to get Marlie back out there next month and see.

love that laugh.

Remember these guys? Time flies when you're having fun.

it's not for sale.

Loved it. When we were out shooting photos with Zack last week, a man approached us asking if we were taking photos to help sell the Mustang. "My granddaughter would love to have it."

Sorry, sir. It's not for sale.

But tell your granddaughter we'd love to shoot her senior photos. Maybe Zack would even lend her his car :)
