it's not for sale.

Loved it. When we were out shooting photos with Zack last week, a man approached us asking if we were taking photos to help sell the Mustang. "My granddaughter would love to have it."

Sorry, sir. It's not for sale.

But tell your granddaughter we'd love to shoot her senior photos. Maybe Zack would even lend her his car :)

a month from now...

A month from today, I'll be on an airplane with this fine chap headed on another photo excursion. This time to the amazing national parks of southern and eastern Utah.

Can't wait.
About this photo: Shot on a Canon 30D, f/2.5, ISO 100 at 50mm (50mm f/1.8 lens)

they are SO sisters.

A sister can be seen as someone who is both ourselves and very much not ourselves – a special kind of double." ~Toni Morrison

No doubt about it, these two are so sisters. How else could you ever possibly account for such candid interaction and expression? Aubree and Kalissa, you are one awesome duo!

pictures. lots of them.

It has been a busy few weeks, shooting lots and spending time in the (Light)room, too... Now that Becca's back in town, we've been able to get caught back up to the present. Check out the next few posts to see what we've been up to.

Get it? It's a tutu for a 3-year-old!

Yeah, not funny. Just thought the combination of numbers was interesting. Bad puns and all, happy 3rd birthday, Ella... and Amber, great job on the awesome handmade tutu. The colors are awesome!

Good luck finding a better looking family in all St. Charles County. Seriously, you guys. If there were an award out there (who knows, there probably is...), you'd have our votes!

lakeside beauty

Kids. Outdoors. And a million-dollar smile. So. Sweet.
Enough said.

Three things we love: sunsets, temples, and love itself.

doug + kim v3.0

Today would not be complete without sharing some more pictures of Mr. and Mrs. Marsh. Love you guys. Hope it's been an awesome first month of marriage!

It's a guessing game.

Having fun in the post-production processing and just had to share...

So, here's a quick game. Which settings go with which photo?...
A) 32mm, f/4, 200 ISO; B) 85mm, f/2.2, 200 ISO; C) 85mm, f/2.2, 400 ISO; D) 85mm, f/2, 400 ISO. My favorite image here is the one on the far right. It's Becca's. So stoic and cold yet so vibrant and lively.

Was looking through some old files for another image and came across this oldie-but-goodie maternity silhouette.
