tierra's mini-session

Photo sessions. Sometimes you need just a handful of shots -- 10-12 images for Facebook, family and friends -- and a 45-minute mini-session achieves just that. Take Tierra, for example, who just wanted to experience a professional photo session for her Sweet 16 (Happy birthday, Tierra!).

Like for her 16th birthday, practically every image we create is in celebration of some milestone... a newborn baby, a high school senior, a first-ever family photo. It's always cool to take a step back and remember that the photos we make are not only important now but also fun, valuable pieces of history 10, 50, or even 100 years from now.

She's back and possibly more beautiful and adorable than ever! Mylie's curly hair caught us by surprise on Saturday, and her eyes and smile won us over. What a cute kid, dontchathink?

Maybe next year you'll eat it, too. Baby P gave it a shot. Maybe this whole birthday celebration thing just isn't for her. Maybe she's got more of Uncle Ben's blood in her than previously thought. :)

It's been a while since we have gone to a surprise party. That streak ended this weekend with Maddie's 17th birthday celebration, where we got the opp to set up shop for Maddie 'n' friends and go to work behind the camera. Meet Dominic!

We were honored to spend the day with Dominic to celebrate the Big-Oh-Three! He is such a sweet and loving little guy and we had such a good time (I even braved the penguin-themed party to hang with the Dominator). Dominic had a stroke in utero and consquently suffered brain damage to the basal ganglia, affecting his ability to suck or swallow.
