switchfoot in springfield | november 21, 2013

Check out our latest collection of Switchfoot concert images. These were shot at one of the band's final Fading West 2013 tour stops – Springfield, Mo., at the Gillioz Theatre, a cool, old venue with tons of character.

After Becca's meetings this year at Westport Plaza, these guys kept the party going well into the night. We slipped out after 14 songs, but rumor has it they played nearly a 30-song set. That's some serious dedication!

switchfoot: st. louis, november 2012

We decided to go a little experimental at the most recent Switchfoot concert in St. Louis. It was, according to Jon Foreman, the first time the San Diego rock band had performed at an NFL game (I think they said it was the first NFL game they'd ever even attended, for that matter). (And it was almost for sure the first time the guys have sung while a giant stuffed Ram went crowd-surfing...) And for us, it was the first time trying out some Canon 5DIII multi-exposures at an event of this magnitude. You'll see them scattered throughout the next 20 images. And, all in all, we think they turned out pretty cool. At least for an experiment. Of all, my personal favorite is the first.

Oh, and by the way? Love the ode to Chin (95) on Jon's jersey. Vintage Switchfoot.

every blessing comes with a set of curses

This week has flown by! It's Friday night, and we're just now getting around to posting some show photos from the Switchfoot show at The Pageant earlier this week. Loved it so much (blessing), that Ben's headed to Cali next week (curse) to see 'em perform again.

On the Scene: STL MoTab

Spotted: Former British boy band singer Alex Boye, MoTab Choir president Mac Christensen, and former Missouri Governor / U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft all on one stage on Saturday, June 20, 2009. The reason? The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The place? St. Louis' Scottrade Center (home of the St. Louis Blues). The show was the first for the Choir in St. Louis since 1958. From the audience's reaction, it was worth the wait. ** More pictures from the VIP reception and the concert are available for viewing through our Picasa account.
