Little Kid Photo Tip #819: When you think a shoot has wrapped, give it at least one more minute. Breathe. Breathe again. Maybe start to pack up. But leave the camera on and the lens cap off. Keep that finger on the shutter ... You never know when the best smiles will come.

family's in town

It's always so nice to have family in town. Hanging out. Going around town finding wacky places to eat. Good conversation. Good to catch up.

But you don't get anything done! Still: we wouldn't change it for the world. In the few, random, spare moments, we've done a little photo work, and here's a sneak peek of one recent outing:

two point oh?!

It's been busy around here. So, like a few days ago, I again decided we needed to do a little something different for today's post to keep things interesting and new. So? Tonight? A little extra color, a little more light.
I'm pleased with the changeup. It's not a regime change. Not a perm. Not something for every photo. But a few per shoot? An occasional curve ball? Sure. Why not? And so it is. Photography by us, 2.0.

Title translation: it's been a little too long since the last post. And, you know, that seems to be a growing theme on the other blogs we follow. There have been lots of, "I promise to be better"s and "Sorry--no excuse"s ... Here we are saying the same. But we're back with a promise of at least three posts this week, starting with Baby G, born New Year's Day! Welcome to the world, little man; sorry it's so cold here in St. Louis -- Promise it's not always like this :)
